Call To Ministry

Edward Graham is the Chief Operating Officer for Samaritan’s Purse. The youngest son of Franklin Graham, Edward graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2003 and went on to serve 16 years in the U.S. Army. Edward was commissioned as a Field Artillery Officer, but while serving as a Company Fire Support Officer at 3rd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment, he received approval for a branch transfer to the Infantry where he was given a Ranger platoon.

Later he would command a Stryker Company in Afghanistan with 4-23IN out of Fort Lewis. Upon returning from Afghanistan, he was hired back at the Rangers, serving as the Delta Company Commander at 1st Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment. Following graduation from the Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth KS, he returned to the Ranger Regiment to serve as the Battalion Executive Officer for the Ranger Special Troops Battalion. He was then selected to be the aide de camp for the commander of US Army Special Operations Command and then moved to Joint Special Operations Command to serve in the J33. While serving in the JSOC headquarters, Edward felt the call to ministry and after multiple combat deployments within the Special Operations Community, he left the Army four years shy of retirement to serve at Samaritan’s Purse.
